Buoy is an early-stage fintech startup focused on solving liquidity problems in emerging markets, where banking systems aren’t often built for modern enterprises. Capital is seldom where it needs to be, in the currency it needs to be in, at the time it’s needed. We're building a tech-enabled platform to fix that.

To start, we’re helping remittance and payment companies stay on top of their liquidity needs by offering a float facility, helping them access working capital while waiting on incoming bank transfers.

About The Role

We’re looking for a 2nd software developer (backend) to join our team. As the 2nd dev, you’ll play a critical role in designing, building, and testing our liquidity management platform.

Your Responsibilities

• You will get your hands dirty in architecting, building and testing the Buoy Tech-enabled lending platform
• You will help shape Buoy’s direction for future products
• You will help design Fintech APIs and integrate with Banks and other Fintechs
• You’ll roll with the punches and be ready to contribute in a flexible startup environment

About You

We’re looking for self-directed devs who work well in fast changing, async environments. This means you’ll want to act as thought partner with the CTO in defining the vision, and be ready to lead the work that transforms that vision into product.
